One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

My husband treated me to a wonderful trip to Monterey at our favorite hotel! We stayed on the Cannery side this time, which had a big balcony with comfy chairs and lots to see since we like to people watch and bird watch! The king bed was firm and the TV had all the premium stations, though we were out most of the time. We watched the sunrise from the roof, wandered the night market downtown, enjoyed a jazz dinner and a sidewalk bistro since everything is walkable from this hotel. We felt pampered by the staff, and enjoyed our stay at the Spindrift immensely.

Quaint older hotel very well cared for and maintained. Stayed in Room 416 overlooking Cannery Row, which was a nice view and actually quiet. My phone call and check in with Stephanie was pleasant and professional. Spindrift Inn is an easy walk to Monterey Bay Aquarium and all the lovely shops on Cannery Row. Breakfast delivered to the room was very and prompt. We plan to return here in the future.

We found the spindrift last year & stay there to celebrate our 33rd anniversary & returned this year on our 34th anniversary. We love the rooms with the fireplace & Victorian setting. The hospitality of wine~ chocolates & a nice card ~ celebrating our anniversary was a very nice touch. The beds are very comfortable & everything is always so nice & clean. This has so far been our anniversary ritual & we look forward to next year again. We love the balcony to sit out there ~ with a drink 🥃 People & ocean watch is always so relaxing.

I have never stayed anywhere where the staff is so friendly and efficient. If we called because we had an issue they were there in literally a minute. Everyone had a smile on their face every time we passed by, they were so polite and friendly ... it made the stay that much better. Our room was clean and well kept. Super cute fireplace. I do think our heater was broken and our room was VERY hot so we slept with the French doors open... but 5 starts to this hotel because of how amazing everyone was.

Beautiful, warm & inviting room and hotel. Love the fireplace and window sitting areas in the room. I requested the same corner room (#414) overlooking Cannery Row, and received it; from one of the windows you have a partial ocean view. The hotel and room was once again very quiet. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming throughout my entire stay. The handwritten personal note and chocolates when I arrived in my room were a special touch. The daily breakfast was delicious, warm, and arrived on time. The hotel is located in the best location, it’s right on the bay and close to shops, restaurants, Aquarium, and Pacific Grove. I would highly recommend Spindrift. I look forward to returning again in the near future!

Beautiful place. Exceptional staff! Really attentive and will go above and beyond. Cant wait to come back. The corner room had awesome views and made us feel relaxed and at ease. Praises to the front line staff, tbe concierge, valet, maintenance and housekeeping all very friendly!

The hotel is always clean and beautiful. Staff is always friendly and very helpful. Always willing to help you. The location is awesome. The rooms are great always clean and inviting. we get a personalized note welcoming us back with a box a chocolates. We get the ocean view rooms so we can sit in the window seat and watch the sea life, scuba divers and the water. It is beautiful. The fireplace is nice. I have to admit I miss the wood burning fireplace. They have great big chairs for you to sit and watch tv in. The bed is very comfortable. The place is quiet and relaxing. Love to stay here

We came to this hotel to celebrate our honeymoon! The staffs's friendliness, room service, continental breakfast, cleanliness of the rooms, Victorian decor, fireplace, location and view, were some of the amenities that will bring us back annually. This was a romantic experience and a perfect location to the shops on Cannery Row. The only con is the low water pressure and the toilet sits low.

There are not enough words to describe the best Inn I have ever stayed at. This Inn has all the charms of a Mediterranean type hotel along the Mediterranean coast. The rooms are very warm and inviting with a big fireplace, windows that look out on a beach and the Monterey Bay. The sea life such as seals, and otters swim right by your room and the sound of the ocean is amazing. I like to keep the window open so I can hear the ocean and get that salty fresh air fragrance. The Inn is located right on Cannery Row which makes shops, restaurants, the Aquarium, Pacific Grove, and other fun places easily accessible. The staff is the most friendliest I have experienced. They are all amazing. I have been staying at the Inn for 10 years plus and stayed three times this year. A great place to get away from all the shutdowns and covid stuff. I should mention that the Inn takes great pride in making sure that all of their guests are safe from this menacing virus, which gives great comfort to their guests. Spindrift Inn is a place that I recommend to all my family and friends and no one has ever had anything bad to say about their stay. I will be coming back again and again and again...
