One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

Couldn’t ask for a better location if you’re wanting to see the aquarium, walk, and watch out your window at all the wild life. We stayed in a King Oceanfront room. Well worth the cost. We couldn’t have asked for a better view of the water to watch the otters and sea lions. Leaving the window one a crack means hearing the waves crash all day and night. No AC in the room wasn’t a problem for us even on warm days. The windows were open so we couldn’t enjoy the ocean breeze and sounds of sea life. The room was clean and well maintained. Coffee in the room. Soft sheets with lots of pillows. Fireplace makes an evening drink over looking the bay from your window day bed lookout fun and charming. Direct beach access from the hotel makes for an easy low key activity without having to travel. Snacks and wine available in the evening gave us just enough light refreshments to hold us over for a later evening dinner. Staff were very friendly and let us check in early since the room was cleaned. Valet parking was affordable and convenient especially given the busy area. 24 hr access and parked in the secure lot gives peace of kind. Go for a walk along the water front trail in either direction for a nice easy stroll. Lots of easy access to the shops and walking distance to the aquarium.

Wonderful hotel! We've stayed many times and it never disappoints. It is pricey, but worth it, especially the ocean front rooms!

I had to call several times to confirm a reservation( it was very confusing to me.) Each time the staff was very nice & helpful, things are all in order now. WE are very happy andwill get to see all your WONDERFUL staff on Jan 05th for our pre-anaversory(56 years of marrage on Jan11th Thanks to ALL, Larry & Cynthia Rotello ( can't wait.)

My husband and I enjoyed our time at the Spindrift Inn. We had a corner room with a spectacular view of the bay. Each morning we watched the sunrise, otters swimming around and even a seal swimming so close by. The breakfast served in our room each morning was fresh and a nice plus. Although if you are a big breakfast eater, you may want to plan for picking up something extra. The social hour each evening was also a nice plus. Wonderful cheese plater with some dried fruits, nuts and crackers along with a red and white option of wine. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. As I said above, the view was spectacular and lots of ocean life to see. The fireplace in the room added such a nice ambiance to finish out each day of exploring with a glass of wine, waves crashing out the window and the warmth of the fireplace was just perfect. We definitely will return the next time we are visiting Monterey.

I treated myself to a suite with sea view and I will NEVER forget the view. This stands as my favorite hotel to this day, and I can’t wait to come back. It was everything I needed in my life at the end of a very long trip. The staff were extremely nice, very professional and easy going. They delivered breakfast to my room and just made me feel very welcome! Hopefully coming back next year, to the same room.

We had a great stay at the Spindrift The hotel had a boutique feel and made the guests feel welcome, with lots of personal attention. All of the staff was very accommodating. Rooms were quaint & clean & adorable. The in room breakfast was so convenient & just enough to get you out the door while getting ready. The wine & charcuterie in the late afternoon was a nice treat & high quality. Would definitely stay there again & would recommend to others.

Other hotels have been asking us if we want service, this hotel took care of the room everyday, clean, organized and anytime we wanted extra towels or anything we got them. Everyone was kind and professional and very helpful, from the Valets to the Front desk.

All hotels have 3 things desired by its guests, location, cleanliness of property and quality of staffing. This hotel meets or exceeds customer expectations in all 3 areas. If you're looking for a mega resort with a gym and sauna and multiple other amenities stay at the Plaza down the street. If you want a small and exclusive Inn that makes you feel special that's right on the waterfront then this is the place for you.
