One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

The Spindrift Inn is a lovely place to stay and in a conveniently located area with many places to eat and activities to do. My fiancé proposed just about an hour before we arrived and the lady at the front desk was so nice. We got a complimentary bottle of wine and a room upgrade for a great price. We were able to enjoy our stay with stunning views of the beach. It really was the highlight of our vacation being able to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the waves. Staff here was amazing, helpful and very nice. They also offer complimentary breakfast, you would just need to fill a paper they give you and leave it on your door before a certain time. As well as wine, cheese and crackers in the lobby around 4-6pm. We requested for them to bring to our room and there was no problem at all. Whenever we had requests they would bring it to us promptly. Rooms also have a fireplace with a timer, and when the weather gets cold at night it is such a comfortable addition! Although staying here can be expensive I would absolutely stay here again, it is worth the price and such a nice place to get away and relax!

I have never stayed in a more splendid, luxurious place than the Spindrift Inn. From the breakfast served on a silver tray each morning to the high-quality fabrics in the room, to the fireplace in every room, all was lovely. And the inn’s location right on the beach in Monterey was dreamlike. The staff were helpful and friendly. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Unforgettable

Everything was great! Super cute room, right on the ocean. Walking distance to Fisherman's Warf and Aquarium. Staff was friendly, clean room. Bonus points for no carpet.

The staff we so kind to us and the property is beautiful. We are a couple of 20 year olds that wanted to treat ourselves and we put our money in the right spot. The place has a FANTASTIC ambiance right when you walk in and the rooms are beautifully done. The window nook was the perfect reading spot to relax in or watch the activity on the street. We were there for our anniversary and the staff made sure they didn't forget. They placed wine and chocolates in our room for us to enjoy. The entire stay was so pleasant and we loved all the perks like breakfast and the ice cream shop next door as well as the beach right outside. It's definitely at the top of our list in regards to places we have stayed, we wish we stayed longer ❤️

Fantastic location! Close to everything.

We loved our stay there. The spacious room was impeccably clean. The view was incredible. We enjoyed the fireplace & breakfast delivered to our room each morning. The Staff was most helpful & friendly. The location was perfect & we looked forward to wine & appetizers every afternoon!! It would be nice to have parking included in the price of the room.

The breakfast was very delicious, fresh, and healthy unlike most hotels with a sugary continental breakfast. We love a firm mattress, however for us we needed a down pillow topper to ease the extra firmness and discomfort. It's definitely a personal preference.

First time staying at this inn. Location is fantastic, walking distance to everything from restaurants and shops to a 5 min walk to the aquarium. Lots of restaurants on the strip but it is a bit pricey since it's a touristy location. The staff at the inn is very courteous, helpful, and professional. 10/10 for the staff. The bedding and the room itself is up to par. It's a older inn so don't expect perfection. I would give it a 8/10 for the room. The fireplace is a nice feature to enjoy. Love the nice fresh air from the big windows. Please note that there is no heater or AC in any of the rooms. Our stay does include free breakfast: hard boiled eggs, drinks, yogurt, cereal, some fresh fruits and pastries. Nothing overwhelming but a nice little morning snack. In the afternoon from 4-6pm they offer complimentary wine and cheese in the lobby. Overall we would stay here again since it meets all of our expectations and needs. We will try the ocean view next time
