One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

Ocean views are fantastic

This is our second stay here. We love the fireplaces in the rooms, and the robes in the armoires are a nice touch as well. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast served in our room at the time of our choice. We were not around for the happy hour this trip, but look forward to taking advantage of it the next time we visit.

Excellent stay

My husband and I travel all over the world. We have stayed at some very nice hotels in America as well as Europe, but I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest based on the accommodations and the view. Our room directly overlooks Monterey Bay, and we are close enough that we watch the sea otters, seals and sea lions playing in the water at different times of the day. Our room is spacious with the window seat overlooking the water. We have a fireplace and two comfortable chairs to sit near it. The continental breakfast, which is delivered every morning is very enjoyable. All of this wouldn’t have been as wonderful had it not been for RobAnn. She is the front desk manager and she corrected an issue that had been created by Booking.com, a company I would never use again. We had booked an oceanfront room back in January and Booking.com changed our accommodations to a street view. We were never made aware until a few days before we arrived. I was extremely upset but when we got to the hotel and told Rob Ann about the problem, she did everything in her power to get us the ocean front room that we had originally booked. We truly enjoyed our room and spend a lot of our time watching the sea life, which was very active right outside our windows. We were particularly taken with the sea otter that we named Rocky who is out there every day, floating and diving for his clams and abalone. Rob Ann is a tremendous asset to the hotel and we will never forget the fact that she helped us get to the room that we so much enjoyed.

Great location, helpful and professional staff, room was spacious and well appointed, breakfast was excellent with diverse options, and the daily wine and cheese complementary happy hour was most welcome after a long fun-filled day. Next time, we will opt for the seaside suites. The street side was fine but an ocean view would’ve been fantastic.

Really felt the warmth of the hotel right when you walked in. Staff was so welcoming and pleasant. Our arrival was seamless, parked and got into our hotel room within 10 minutes maybe even five minutes. Hotel room was a dream. The views and the vibes were incredible. I felt like I was dropped right into a Nancy Meyers movie. This is located walking distance to everything and anything. It was the perfect cozy vacation for me and my family. First family vacation (not to be confused with family trip) in awhile where it ended with me feeling relaxed and I think this hotel had a lot to do with it. Highly, highly recommend.
