One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

The people at the reception were so professional and friendly. The room was large with a window seat, fireplace and luxury bedding and towels. We met nice people at the happy hour and had fun. The continental breakfast with lovely fruit was great. Nice small beach that you can walk down to. Perfect location We enjoyed our stay. Thanks you, Spindrift.

We had a great stay at the Spindrift. The staff was great and the room was large and clean. The location is right on Cannery Row which gave us great access to everything.

Right in the center of Canery Row the Spindrift Inn had to be the best Hotel I could've ever stayed in. With a gorgeous view of the ocean and a very cozy feeling in the hotel room it offered a very relaxing experience. Ordering room service from the restaurant downstairs was also very convenient and quick. The food was amazing (the Jumbalaya and Cesar salad with Calamari) was such a great meal! On top of the view and the food the hotel room provided a really comfortable bed to sleep in that made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. The hotel room also had a fireplace and a nice TV which made the experience so much better! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that has ever thought about coming to Monterey and wants to have a really special experience!

This is the best hotel at Monterey where a room with the direct sea view won't cost you a small fortune. We keep staying at Spindrift every time we come to Monterey. The hotel building is rather old (nearly 100 years old), but it was renovated around 2010 (if I'm not mistaken), so it is fine in terms of comforts. Hotel provides you with a continental breakfast delivered to your room, but it is very very basic (though alternatives are all pretty much Mexican-style breakfasts, which are heavy on calories). They also have a daily happy hour with wine-cheese-crackers for the guests -a nice prelude to your dinner in one of very good local restaurants.

The Spindrift Inn is a lovely place to stay and in a conveniently located area with many places to eat and activities to do. My fiancé proposed just about an hour before we arrived and the lady at the front desk was so nice. We got a complimentary bottle of wine and a room upgrade for a great price. We were able to enjoy our stay with stunning views of the beach. It really was the highlight of our vacation being able to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the waves. Staff here was amazing, helpful and very nice. They also offer complimentary breakfast, you would just need to fill a paper they give you and leave it on your door before a certain time. As well as wine, cheese and crackers in the lobby around 4-6pm. We requested for them to bring to our room and there was no problem at all. Whenever we had requests they would bring it to us promptly. Rooms also have a fireplace with a timer, and when the weather gets cold at night it is such a comfortable addition! Although staying here can be expensive I would absolutely stay here again, it is worth the price and such a nice place to get away and relax!
