One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

All hotels have 3 things desired by its guests, location, cleanliness of property and quality of staffing. This hotel meets or exceeds customer expectations in all 3 areas. If you're looking for a mega resort with a gym and sauna and multiple other amenities stay at the Plaza down the street. If you want a small and exclusive Inn that makes you feel special that's right on the waterfront then this is the place for you.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Spindrift Inn. We only stayed a single night, but we both left wishing we could have stayed one more. The location was absolutely incredible. The views from the room were amazing. We fell asleep with the windows open to the sound of crashing waves on the beach. Waking up to breakfast delivered to our room felt luxurious. If we return to Monterey, this is absolutely where we will stay again.

The room was packed to the brim with amenities, and tons of space. Subtle but luxurious styling throughout. Very nice staff found my contacts that I thought I lost forever. The view was incredible.

Spindrift Inn another lovely hotel. Best thing is location. Ocean front, Cannery Row, restaurants, shopping, beach. The staff is super nice and helpful. Hotel is a little dated in traditional styled decor. Water pressure was a little low at times in the bathroom facilities, minor issues. It is a bit expensive, even more for ocean view rooms. However to hear ocean waves crashing as you rest in your, what could be better? Surrounded by dining options, terrific terrific 👏.

This room had a gorgeous ocean view with window seat with pillows and binoculars for watching the otters. The staff was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious! I absolutely loved this place and would definitely stay here again and again.

We've got here twice this year and both times have been amazing! These folks are very welcoming and provide top tier service. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I'm in Monterey. Excellent location, friendly staff, great pricing with beautiful views. Highly recommend!

We used to stay at the intercontinental, but spindrift's location (right in the beach, still walkable to the aquarium, next to ghiradelli), huge rooms (there's a place to eat a meal), and incredible views (over beach and surrounded by rocks, people watching) along with super friendly staff (from front to cleaning to maintenance) make it where we come back to trip after trip. While the bathrooms and some of the room is dated, we're ok with that and the other aspects the hotel offers to us (we usually stay just a few nights).

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was great. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The valet system is a bit odd because of the parking situation, but feels very fancy and high class. We'll definitely be back!
