One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

The room was beautifully decorated. It had an old-style look, but everything seemed new. The fireplace was excellent. The bed was so comfortable, I had the best sleep here during my entire 3-week stay in California. The breakfast selection is enough for a filling meal. The location was amazingly central and surprisingly, we weren't disturbed by outside noise. It really is a lovely hotel.

The Staff was great, the option for free in room breakfast was outstanding and was right on time! Will definitely be staying here again!

Cute little inn. Service was great throughout all points of our stay! Appreciated the wine reception in the lobby and the free breakfast the next morning. The outside stairs on each side of the inn led out which was great. Easy access to the tiny little part of the beach that was there. Very convenient!

Really wonderful experience. Service was great. Location is so perfect. And the rooms are beautiful and large. The in room fireplace is such a nice touch and one we definitely utilized when I got a little cold at night. They have a rooftop garden, which is perfect to watch the sunrise. Valet and Front Desk are all extremely helpful. There is a complementary continental breakfast that you order the night before, and they bring up to your room at a designated time that you marked. nothing too filling but we are light breakfast eaters anyway so for us it was perfect. The rooms are quite spacious and the wraparound benches near the windows are so quaint. We really had a lovely time and will definitely stay again. The location is also perfect, close to a lot of attractions, and for anyone looking to stay active it’s a few minute walk away from a trail that goes through Pacific Grove. Perfect for morning runs.

Our stay started with the friendly, knowledgeable valet. The reception people were also so friendly and nice. The room was perfectly set up, lovely furnishings, quite spacious. And the complementary breakfast was delicious, lots of choices, delivered to our room right when we requested. We look forward to returning!

Parking is very limited, valet parking $35. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. For the complimentary breakfast, they deliver breakfast to your room, which is lovely. They recommended the Lalla seafood restaurant next door, but we found that the dishes were too heavily sauced, obscuring the delicate flavor of the seafood. We had a much better meal at the Fish Hopper, a short walk away. The area includes many interesting shops and has access to a small beach so you can dip your toes into the Pacific. There's even a Ghirardelli's Chocolate shop, complete with ice cream where we enjoyed a non-dairy hot fudge sundae. We would definitely go back to this hotel if we're going to be in the area.
