One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

Loved the bay window which looked out on the ocean! They even had binoculars so that we could better see the wild sea life. Every thing about the room was great. Super cozy with the fireplace! The pillow menu was an absolute treat as well 😊

We enjoyed our stay at the Spindrift Hotel. Our room had an excellent view of the ocean and had a fireplace in the room. There is a happy hour daily wine and cheese- that is a nice touch. The hotel’s location is perfect for visiting the Aquarian, shopping and restaurants. The Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating.

This is a special property to which my family have been returning over the last decade. If you can get the rooms overlooking the small beach behind the building, it’s lovely as you can see the beautiful chalcedony-like color of the water right beneath the window. The rooms have recently been updated (furniture and drapery reupholstered) and floors refinished, and it’s great to have the fire going while listening to the waves (the heating is super quiet). The best thing about this is the management and staff. During the visit which started on Christmas day, we ran into a mishap of the third party booking site making a mistake on the room type on a sold out night and the assistant general manager Duchess kindly and expertly solved the problem in a way to make our stay even more special. Thank you to Duchess, Diana and the rest of the staff (the housekeeping staff are super warm and friendly, which shows they are taken care of well by the management) for making this visit memorable! We can’t wait to return.

Such a special place. We had perfect weather but really just wanted to chill and it was the perfect place to do that.

Continental breakfast brought to the room. Like the old days and the porter who helped with our luggage as my husband is disabled and we are elderly. Not to mention the fabulous view from the room. We are Maui residents and fire victims and this view gave us some peace.

My partner & I had such a delightful stay here this past weekend. It was for our anniversary and Spindrift Inn was perfect. 12/10 would recommend valet. The breakfast delivered to our room each morning was delicious & so thoughtful. When we got into the rooms, I had added special requests when we had booked the room and they followed suit. The room was so spacious and well-decorated. If you’re looking for a place to stay, don’t look any further especially if you’re looking for a lovely & romantic place in Monterey! We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you Spindrift Inn for making our stay so special.

First time staying at this inn. Location is fantastic, walking distance to everything from restaurants and shops to a 5 min walk to the aquarium. Lots of restaurants on the strip but it is a bit pricey since it's a touristy location. The staff at the inn is very courteous, helpful, and professional. 10/10 for the staff. The bedding and the room itself is up to par. It's a older inn so don't expect perfection. I would give it a 8/10 for the room. The fireplace is a nice feature to enjoy. Love the nice fresh air from the big windows. Please note that there is no heater or AC in any of the rooms. Our stay does include free breakfast: hard boiled eggs, drinks, yogurt, cereal, some fresh fruits and pastries. Nothing overwhelming but a nice little morning snack. In the afternoon from 4-6pm they offer complimentary wine and cheese in the lobby. Overall we would stay here again since it meets all of our expectations and needs. We will try the ocean view next time

The breakfast was very delicious, fresh, and healthy unlike most hotels with a sugary continental breakfast. We love a firm mattress, however for us we needed a down pillow topper to ease the extra firmness and discomfort. It's definitely a personal preference.
