One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

Spacious room has a quality, old time feel and a lovely view of Monterey Bay. They provide binoculars that are great for watching sea otters and seals. Our room had a working gas fireplace for heat. Parking is very limited, valet parking $35. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. For the complimentary breakfast, they deliver breakfast to your room, which is lovely. They recommended the Lalla seafood restaurant next door, but we found that the dishes were too heavily sauced, obscuring the delicate flavor of the seafood. We had a much better meal at the Fish Hopper, a short walk away. The area includes many interesting shops and has access to a small beach so you can dip your toes into the Pacific. There's even a Ghirardelli's Chocolate shop, complete with ice cream where we enjoyed a non-dairy hot fudge sundae. We would definitely go back to this hotel if we're going to be in the area.

Absolutely recommended! The hotel has very friendly staff! A fire stove in the winter is a great plus! Breakfast for free and send directly my door, amazing!

Spindrift inn is a beautiful gem of a place to stay overnight. It's right on the water and canary row. They have balconies facing the ocean as well as the tourist covered street and the beds are comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. This is mine and my wife's go to place in Monterey. The only thing is the last time I was there it looked like the building could have used a Wash and a fresh coat of paint on the exterior.
