One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

Loved the windows that open to the ocean sounds. Free breakfast in the room was a really nice way to start the day. The fireplace was so nice on the rainy day we were there.

Spindrift Inn is beautiful no doubt about it. We celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary here. I'm very happy with the excellent service we received while here. We were in room 201. You wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach and various bird and sea lion music. The first night I was a little overwhelmed by all the shops and restaurants on Cannery Row. After reading some about Monterey Bay I was disappointed. But the next day we got off Cannery Row and went to Fishermans Warf and walked around the town. This was quite a bit more fun for me. I really enjoyed the time here, it's very relaxing and peaceful on the ocean view side. Nice fireplace. Just don't put too much wood in it. We put two logs in and it took hours to burn. Don't forget to check out the rooftop, great views and plenty of seating if you have time. Take your wine and cheese up to enjoy the evening if you don't find yourself making new friends. Breakfast was more than adequate with warm robes to relax in.

The beds are amazing, there is a fireplace in every room, and the staff is very polite and accommodating. They have cribs available for infants and wonderful valets. Free WiFi, a fridge in every room, and great views of Monterey Bay. It's a little on the pricier side, but I couldn't recommend Spindrift Inn more highly.

Spacious room has a quality, old time feel and a lovely view of Monterey Bay. They provide binoculars that are great for watching sea otters and seals. Our room had a working gas fireplace for heat. Parking is very limited, valet parking $35. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. For the complimentary breakfast, they deliver breakfast to your room, which is lovely. They recommended the Lalla seafood restaurant next door, but we found that the dishes were too heavily sauced, obscuring the delicate flavor of the seafood. We had a much better meal at the Fish Hopper, a short walk away. The area includes many interesting shops and has access to a small beach so you can dip your toes into the Pacific. There's even a Ghirardelli's Chocolate shop, complete with ice cream where we enjoyed a non-dairy hot fudge sundae. We would definitely go back to this hotel if we're going to be in the area.

Just returned from an amazing stay and our first time at the property. Looking for a romantic getaway the Spindrift did NOT disappoint! Gorgeous views from our ocean front room with a cozy fireplace. The staff is amazing and the wine/cheese reception was great as well as the breakfast in bed! Quiet and serene it was fantastic and can’t wait to go back!

I haven't had the chance to actually stay at the inn yet because my reservation was cancelled by a 3rd party without my knowledge or consent. But when I arrived they were so helpful, Billy was awesome, he tried to help me find another hotel nearby and called around. I will be back because they've already proven that they have great customer service and are caring.

This is a cute little place right on the water. The staff was helpful and friendly. Because of Covid they are not cleaning the rooms while you are staying there but if you need anything you can just ask. If you can afford it, its better to splurge on a room facing the water. They have valet parking for the hotel or you can park on the streets and feed the meters. They also do not have a/c in the building so plan your trip accordingly but being right on the water most won't miss it.
