One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

Beautiful and Romantic! I can not wait to go back! I did not want to leave our room with the gorgeous view! We slept with the windows open and the sound of the ocean was incredibly calming.

What a wonderful Inn. Friendly staff with nice touches like a glass of wine & a cheese selection for you to help yourself every early evening. A breakfast selection that you stated what time you'd like it brought to your room. A really, really cosy room with a log fire (should you need to light it) Right in the middle of cannery Row. The sort of place I'd like to stay at in winter, so I could just cosy up in front of the fire either in reception or the room with a glass of wine & a good book

My husband and I spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Spindrift Inn celebrating our 54 th anniversary. We’re so glad we picked here because we were treated sooo well and they helped make this a memorable anniversary. I would definitely recommend staying here as we plan to celebrate more anniversaries and maybe birthdays in the future. Thank you to all the staff.

Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights whilst travelling California. It was my birthday while we were there and my daughter arranged a cake and champagne to be delivered to my room which was lovely. The room itself was beautiful old world charm with gorgeous views. The breakfast delivered to your room was lovely as we sat there watching the sea lions outside whilst eating our breakfast. We would love to visit here again.

I stayed at the Spindrift during my recent vacation and it was a perfect hotel for me! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they hold a nightly happy hour in the lobby for guests. The room itself was perfect - comfortable but with great views of Cannery Row with a wrap around window seat and working fireplace. The hotel is centrally located on Cannery Row and a short walk to Fishermans Wharf. Would definitely stay here again on a trip to Monterey!

Spindrift has a lot of nice touches, like real-wood fireplaces, decent afternoon wine & cheese, and a very classy breakfast served to your room. Robann at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. Free on-street parking can be found on the other side of Lighthouse Ave, four short (but steep) blocks away. Pay close attention to the parking signs.

Booked this hotel because of the ocean views and for my wedding night. I was completely surprised by the service. Wonderful afternoon cheese, crackers, and wine. Great valet service. The room was fabulous with a beautiful real working gas-lit fireplace and stunning ocean views. We will definitely return and would highly recommend it to anyone!

This was the cutest hotel we have ever stayed in. It has an old, Victorian feel with comfortable ‘cabin like’ features. It was rainy when we checked in and it was hard to leave and go explore because we were so cozy in there! Our room even had a sauna in the bathroom!!! We found out later that there are only a few rooms with a sauna. A wood burning fireplace was really nice, as well. We really can’t say enough about this place!!! Don’t second guess it; just spend the extra money and enjoy!

I've been meaning to post a review for a few months but time as usual has been flying but I don't want to let the wonderful experience my husband and I had go without notice. We contacted Spindrift Inn a few weeks before our wedding day when we decided based on pictures and reviews that it was the perfect place to stay the week of our wedding. And we were not disappointed one bit. We arrived very late a couple of nights before the wedding coming from several hours of driving from Southern California. We were pleasantly shocked at the BEAUTIFUL show of care we arrived to. When we walked into the room we found a sweet surprise waiting for us. The bed had roses petals forming the word "LOVE" on it (see the pictures), the fire place was lit with plenty of extra wood and a bottle of champagne was waiting on the little table in the room with a rose and a congratulations card addressed to us next to it. I was in awe at how generous the management/crew were to us. True they knew we were getting married but they really went out of their way to make it super special for us. On top of this magnificent welcome, the room is very clean, charming, elegant. The service is amazing. The breakfast was delicious. I could not have dreamed of a better place to stay at on our special week. Thank you SO much! You really made our day/week!

Amazing!! We loved our stay here. The room was beautiful, clean and very romantic. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a sauna in our room. The balcony is lovely and the fireplace made it that much more gorgeous. This was one of our favorite stays at a any hotel!! I highly recommend this hotel and we be back for sure!
