One of the Best Hotels In Monterey

My Husband and I stayed here one night in November. We LOVED it! We had a wonderful room overlooking the beach. Charming window-seat, nice fireplace, comfy, cozy bed - romantic all the way around. We had dinner at Sly's came back to the hotel and woke the next day to a beautiuful view and a nice breakfast. What a great escape!

As discerning hotel-goers, we were very pleasantly surprised at the exceptional quality of the Spindrift Inn. Pedro, at the front desk, was a gem as he was very warm and helped us with all our needs. The rooms are very clean, with high end amenities, fireplace is a breeze to use and the windows actually open so you can hear and smell the bay! The bed is super comfortable, hotel is quiet and the rooms quite spacious. All employees are very courteous and breakfast arrives on time and is plentiful and yummy enough to satisfy! Some past reviewers complained about the European charm aspect but after staying at many hotels in Europe, this one is definitely a high end replica. Everything worked well, there are many little touches that make it super comfortable and while not modern, it's not supposed to be since it's very charming, personable and quaint. Location can't be beat and neither can the value for what you get! Definitely recommend if you want a truly memorable experience!

Love this place for a little getaway with hubby! Wine and cheese in the afternoon, beautiful sea view from our room, all of the best of Monterey is within walking distance. We love that there is a fire place in every room, and that they bring us breakfast in the morning and offer wine and cheese every afternoon.

My boyfriend and i came here for our vacation/anniversary and pictures do not do it justice! It's a beautiful building, beautiful room, comfortable bed, good closet space, mini fridge and beautiful view! We chose the beach view and my god was it worth every penny. The staff is VERY helpful and friendly and even met my small request to help make our anniversary a bit more special. The free continental breakfast was fresh like they claimed. It all tasted delicious including the coffee and creamer. Nothing generic about this place. Plus it's in walking distance in everything! We loved it and as we sit here 2 hours from check out we are already planning our next trip back. Thank you spindrift! We needed this!

Wonderful room.

Staying here currently for a night. And so far, for a small hotel, this stay is the best ive had in a long time. Highly recommend, and worth the price to be on cannery row
