Spindrift Inn Hotel Reviews

A lovely hotel where we spent a beautiful 2 days before returning home to Australia after a holiday in other parts of the USA. The ambiance was so warm and welcoming from the moment we entered the lobby. The fire and comfortable decor was a lovely way to start the stay. Our room was a lovely surprise and we especially loved the open fire and we enjoyed curling up in front of it in the comfortable armchairs. Able to open the windows onto the beautiful view of the Bay and to hear the sounds of the waves in the night was very relaxing. The cleanliness and service of all staff was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Recommended by a friend - and this hotel did NOT disappoint!! I can't wait to return - this was the most amazing anniversary trip we have had yet! :) Thank you for such a great experience! All staff we encountered, helping us unpack our car as soon as we pulled up, front desk and the valet, were all so courteous and helpful the entire time. We liked the welcome home every night when we returned to the hotel.

We [ ] drove into Monterey quite late looking for a hotel. We dropped by to ask for rates after seeing good reviews on trip adviser. Not sure of the names but the lady who checked us in on our first night and the Manager were wonderful. All of the staff on the front desk and valet were very welcoming. My Husband and I loved our stay. An amazing room - we feel it is the best hotel [ ] room we have stayed in, and we have stayed at quite a few hotels! Our room overlooked the sea and the combination of the view framed by the windows, the high ceiling, the fireplace and the thoughtful items such as binoculars, food items and even the small things like the cotton wool and buds pot made it feel relaxing and homely. Your staff got the balance of being welcoming but not intrusive (we normally stay in larger hotels and weary of the small hotels because of feeling a little 'watched' but Spindrift has got it spot on!). Also, I did appreciate the breakfast service - it was so nice not to need to leave your room and had everything on the menu who could want! We visited the Aquarium in the morning and found ourselves walking back to the hotel to enjoy a peaceful relaxing afternoon in our room rather than walk around the crowded town!
